Welcome to my personal website, where I bring together all of my interests. Here you’ll find a blend of tech‑focused creations, educational resources, and artistic projects.
My partner and I create lessons on real-world topics we wish we’d learned in high school (like practical Canadian Tax skills). Explore our Teachers Pay Teachers store.
A clean version of the classic puzzle game Tents & Trees created by Leon Balmaekers in 1989 that you can play it in c71qu3.link (my other domain).
At Abbott, I developed and deployed my first machine learning models, improving the accuracy and efficiency of assembly line image analysis.
While at UofT, I was part of the team that built Tac Swipe, an e-commerce platform once described by our boss in Texas as “Tinder for guns”. I served as project coordinator and test engineer; you can still check out the app in APKCombo.
A theatre play and project I feel particularly proud of. You can get an idea of what it was like from this short YT video, excuse the low resolution.
A documentary TV show that explores the life and impact of reknown Ecuadorian artists. You can check out the trailer for the pilot on Vimeo, unfortunately, it's only available in Spanish.
A graphic novel born from a collaboration with Jorge Velarde, my father, exploring the cinematic roots that connect all his work. Check out my dad's current paintings on Instagram.
You can email me to manuel at this .me domain.
